The ATC (Actual Thinking
Computer) System is a Library Computer
Access and Retrieval System (LCARS) inspired by the computer system used on Star
Trek. The ATC System's architecture is based on a
Natural Language Recognition data model. This model provides users a process of
obtaining information and executing applications through natural language as
well as a
method of teaching the system to understand any spoken language.
The ATC System's
command panel is a
Natural User Interface (NUI) where it reconfigures the display to present the
user with a selection of the most frequently chosen courses of action for
any particular application and situation. When there is a need to
retrieve, store, maintain, display and cross-reference information, the ATC
System’s interface is designed to handle an infinite supply of data. It is quick
to operate and is a single system that encompasses the computer environment allowing
complete control over computer functionality and information retrieval.
The ATC System is a step
forward in the evolution of Computer Science. Never before has a computer been
programmed so as to imitate the human brain utilizing computer technologies
available today. Artificial Intelligence is the final frontier in computer
programming and it is through AI where a tool is created to inspire innovation.
Fiction meets reality and user-friendly, human-centric computers begin with one
invention, the ATC System. . .
